About this worksheet
“Dividing by 6, 7 and 8” is sheet 24 of 32 in our free 3rd Grade Math Worksheets collection, written for children aged 8–9. It focuses on division, one of two sheets in the set on that skill.
In the set it comes after “Multiplication Facts: 6, 7 and 8” and before “Distributive Property”. Working through them in that order, one sheet a day, builds the skill a step at a time.

How to use this worksheet
- 1
Time the fact sheets once a week and chart the times. Beating last week is more motivating than any score out of thirty.
- 2
Before "Division as Sharing", share real objects — twelve crackers among three plates. Dividing is easier to understand when a child has done it with their hands.
- 3
On "Area and Perimeter", ask your child to trace the perimeter with a finger and count the squares inside separately. Mixing the two up is the most common error.
