About this worksheet
“Colors of My Feelings” is sheet 8 of 22 in our free Pre-K Social-Emotional Learning Worksheets collection, written for children aged 3–5. It focuses on self-awareness, one of four sheets in the set on that skill.
In the set it comes after “My Kind Hands” and before “Things That Make Me Happy”. Working through them in that order, one sheet a day, builds the skill a step at a time.

How to use this worksheet
- 1
Name your own feelings out loud during the day. Children learn feeling words from hearing adults use them, not from worksheets alone.
- 2
Practise "Star Breathing" when your child is already calm. A strategy that has been rehearsed is one they can reach for when upset.
- 3
Keep "My Feelings Today" on the fridge for a week and talk about what changed their feelings.
