About this worksheet
“My Family” is sheet 18 of 22 in our free Pre-K Social-Emotional Learning Worksheets collection, written for children aged 3–5. It focuses on family.
In the set it comes after “Kind or Unkind?” and before “When I Feel Mad, I Can…”. Working through them in that order, one sheet a day, builds the skill a step at a time.
How to use this worksheet
- 1
Name your own feelings out loud during the day. Children learn feeling words from hearing adults use them, not from worksheets alone.
- 2
Practise "Star Breathing" when your child is already calm. A strategy that has been rehearsed is one they can reach for when upset.
- 3
Keep "My Feelings Today" on the fridge for a week and talk about what changed their feelings.
