- What is the difference between a blend and a digraph?
- In a blend, such as fr, you hear both letters. In a digraph, such as sh, two letters make one new sound.
- How should my child practise spelling?
- Look at the word, say it, cover it, write it and check it. Writing from memory builds spelling far better than copying.
